Built using an extra-thick 0.6 mm high-chromium spring steel core, the eXTReme (XTR) series is engineered specifically to resist peeling forces, bed warping, and lifting associated with large prints or high-shrinkage engineering filaments.

Electrostatically powder-coated on both sides with authentic ULTEM™ brand PEI from Sabic and kiln-baked for long-term durability, this double-sided build plate leaves a clean, pronounced textured finish on the bottom layer of your prints while offering reliable adhesion and effortless part release once cooled.

Setup, Maintenance & Best Practices

Note: A magnetic base or bed clips are required to secure the Flexi Plate to your heated bed.

Initial Setup & Leveling

After placing the plate on your magnetic bed, perform an automatic or manual bed leveling routine. Adjust your Z-offset to ensure optimal first-layer nozzle squish. Refer to Wham Bam's Bed Leveling Guide for step-by-step instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Daily Cleaning: Wipe down the build plate before and after every print using Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and a fresh paper towel. Never use acetone, as it will permanently damage the PEI coating.
• Removing Small Residue: Use a steel spatula with rounded corners to carefully lift stuck purge lines or skirt pieces.
• Deep Cleaning: If print adhesion drops, wash the plate with warm water and common dish soap or vinegar to break down oils. To refresh the surface, lightly sand with 600-grit wet/dry sandpaper, followed by a thorough IPA wipe.

Filaments & Adhesives

Delivers strong grip for everyday materials such as PLA, TPU, PETG, and ABS. For more challenging materials like Nylon, apply a suitable adhesive (such as purple glue stick or Magigoo) for extra retention and easy post-print cleanup.
