XTR Flexi Plate with Textured ULTEM PEI - Prusa XL (365 x 365 mm)

Upgrade your 3D printing setup with the Wham Bam XTR (eXTReme) Textured PEI Flexi Plate. Specially designed for heavy-duty printing, this plate features a extra-thick 0.6mm high-chromium spring steel core built to withstand high peel forces from edge-to-edge prints and high-shrinkage materials without warping. Both sides are electrostatically powder-painted with authentic ULTEM™ brand PEI from Sabic and kiln-baked for maximum durability, leaving a distinct textured finish on the bottom of your prints.

Compatible with the Wham Bam Magnetic Base (sold separately), this build plate provides excellent adhesion for standard materials like PLA, TPU, PETG, and ABS. For highly demanding engineering filaments such as Nylon, apply a standard purple glue stick or Magigoo for added grip and easy water cleanup.

Setup, Maintenance & Best Practices

Note: A magnetic base or build plate clips are required to secure the Flexi Plate to your bed.

Bed Leveling

After installing your new Flexi Plate, run your printer's automatic bed leveling routine or manually set your Z-offset to ensure optimal first-layer squish.

Routine Cleaning

Wipe down the build surface with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and a clean paper towel between prints. For stubborn purge lines, carefully scrape with a rounded-edge scraper. Do not use acetone, as it will break down and permanently damage the PEI coating.

Restoring Surface Adhesion

If surface adhesion decreases over time due to oils or filament build-up, wash the plate with warm water and standard dish detergent or white vinegar. To revitalize a heavily used surface, lightly pass over it with 600-grit wet/dry sandpaper, then clean thoroughly with IPA.
