SainSmart - Carbon Fiber PETG Filament 1.75mm 1KG High-Strength

10% Carbon Fiber Reinforced PETG Compound
Infusing high-modulus carbon fiber chopped strands into a premium PETG base significantly enhances structural rigidity, tensile strength, and dimensional stability. Carbon fiber is prized across the aerospace and automotive industries for its lightweight engineering properties. When blended with PETG, it maximizes the polymer's mechanical performance, making it the premier choice for printing functional prototyping parts that demand rugged field durability.
Exceptional Strength-to-Weight Ratio
Our Carbon Fiber reinforced engineering filament features a remarkable structural strength-to-weight ratio paired with immense flexural modulus (stiffness). This ensures your finished components maintain critical load-bearing capacity without adding unnecessary mass, which is perfect for drone frames, custom mounts, and mechanical assemblies.
Advanced Thermal Stability
This composite material is highly resilient and thermally stable enough to retain its structural integrity even in harsh, high-heat environments—such as the interior of a vehicle exposed to direct summer sunlight, where ambient heat can easily breach 60°C (140°F). It is an excellent choice for environmental enclosures, under-hood prototyping, and rugged outdoor applications.
Resilient Impact Resistance
Specially formulated to minimize layer delamination, this carbon fiber blend resists fracturing and cracking under mechanical stress, ensuring your components handle fatigue and continuous operational vibration safely.
Important Printing Hardware Notes:
Because carbon fiber filaments are hygroscopic and highly abrasive, please follow these guidelines for the best results:
- Nozzle Requirement: Carbon fiber will rapidly erode standard brass nozzles. It is strongly recommended to use a 0.6mm or larger hardened steel, stainless steel, or ruby-tipped nozzle to prevent abrasion and clogs.
- Material Conditioning: For optimum layer bonding and surface finish, dry the spool thoroughly before printing and consider using an enclosed build space to stabilize ambient temperatures.
