PolyFlex™ TPU90 by Polymaker is an engineered thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) filament custom-developed in collaboration with chemical pioneer Covestro using their premier Addigy® family of resins. Designed to bridge the gap between traditional elastomer behavior and high-speed mechanical production, PolyFlex TPU90 offers exceptional elastic properties without forcing users to sacrifice structural print speed or reliability.
Featuring a uniquely high melt index, this material flows incredibly smoothly through the hotend, rendering it significantly easier to print than similar flexible filaments on the market. It exhibits outstanding tear resistance, remarkable layer-to-layer adhesion, and superior vibration dampening thresholds—making it highly effective for shock absorbers, seals, custom footwear prototypes, wearable electronics, and protective enclosures.
Extrusion Recommendation: To minimize material flexing or jamming during the feeding process, we highly recommend utilizing a direct-drive extruder setup (where the feeder mechanism is mounted directly atop the hotend assembly).
Key Features & Advantages
Covestro Addigy® Base Formulation: Built using elite industrial polyurethane technology to ensure consistent flexibility and durable part lifespans.
High Melt Index: Formulated for superior flow dynamics, allowing for faster printing speeds and a drastically reduced chance of nozzle clogs compared to standard TPU.
Industrial Toughness: Exceptional impact absorption, excellent abrasion resistance, and strong chemical stability against oils and greases.
