Bring industrial-grade engineering to your desktop setup with Phaetus aeForce™ PET-GF. This high-performance FDM material blends premium polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with 15% chopped glass fiber reinforcement. The result is a resilient filament that balances immense structural strength, stiffness, and exceptional dimensional stability for demanding mechanical components.
Industrial-Grade Glass Fiber Reinforcement
The 15% chopped glass fiber load radically elevates this material's physical properties compared to standard PET or PETG filaments. It reduces shrinkage and warping during cool-down windows while significantly increasing impact resistance, tensile strength, and flexural modulus. This makes it an exceptional choice for functional prototypes, jigs, structural fixtures, and end-use automotive or mechanical parts that must withstand continuous load environments.
⚠️ Safety, Ventilation, & Hardware Requirements:
Extreme Abrasive Alert: The infused glass fiber strands are highly abrasive to standard brass hardware. To prevent rapid wear and toolhead destruction, we strongly recommend printing exclusively with a specialized hardened nozzle, such as a Tungsten Carbide Nozzle (e.g., the West3D Undertaker).
Enclosure & Toxic VOC Warnings: Extruding this material releases harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). For your safety, you must print inside a fully closed printer enclosure and operate in a well-ventilated room with proper air filtration or personal protection equipment.
Key Features & Application Capabilities
15% Chopped Glass Fiber Matrix: Provides superior mechanical strength and structural rigidity under continuous mechanical strain.
High Dimensional Accuracy: Minimal shrinkage profiles ensure your printed parts remain precise to your CAD models with excellent layer-to-layer adhesion.
Stunning Surface Finish: The composite material leaves a clean matte exterior texture that hides layer lines exceptionally well.
Standard Footprint Layout: Ships wound neatly on a 1KG spool and is strictly optimized for standard 1.75mm diameter extrusion setups.
