Usage & Maintenance Guidelines
Surface Preparation (PEX Prep): Prior to first use, scuff the PEX surface in circular motions for 4–5 minutes using 000 steel wool or a red Composite Abrasive Pad (CAP) until an even satin matte finish is achieved. Clean thoroughly using >90% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) with a fresh paper towel. Avoid using microfiber cloths, shop rags, or pre-moistened wipes.
Filament Settings & Guidelines: Keep your first 3 hot-end layers toward the lower end of your filament's temperature range to prevent damaging the PEX. When printing materials with strong adhesion like PETG or ASA, always apply a glue stick as a protective barrier layer.
Part Removal & Care: Always allow both the print bed and part to cool completely before flexing off prints. After every print, lightly scuff the surface for 10 seconds and clean with IPA to prevent oil and contaminant buildup.
