By pairing a highly conductive copper alloy substrate with a slick, defensive nickel-plated shell, this nozzle is built to sustain demanding production environments where extreme heat makes traditional silicone socks unusable.
Elite Thermal Conductivity & 500°C Limit
Standard brass nozzles begin to lose structural integrity and soften at extreme temperatures, and steel variants suffer from poor heat propagation. E3D's copper formulation delivers the perfect high-temperature solution:
- 3x the Thermal Transfer: Copper alloy provides nearly three times the thermal conductivity of brass. This rapid heat transfer ensures highly uniform melting behavior within the internal chamber, reducing flow bottlenecks during high-speed movements.
- 500°C Max Operating Temperature: Rated for grueling workflows up to 500°C. This makes it fully capable of handling advanced engineering materials like PEEK, PEI (Ultem), and PPSU that destroy standard parts.
- Premium Nickel Plating: Encased in a hard nickel coat that completely stops high-temperature copper oxidation. Furthermore, the ultra-smooth surface properties minimize sticky plastic accumulation (such as PETG), keeping your nozzle tip pristine.

Important Installation Considerations
- Heater Block Exclusions: This nozzle uses the standard M6 x 0.75mm V6 threading specification. It is **not** compatible with extended melt-zone configurations like the Volcano, SuperVolcano, or Cyclops heater blocks.
- Abrasive Limitations: Plated copper is optimized exclusively for high-temperature, non-abrasive printing. If you frequently run carbon-fiber, glass-fiber, or glow-in-the-dark filaments, we highly recommend selecting E3D ObXidian or Nozzle X components instead.
