Engineered for high performance and durability, this build plate features premium 0.4mm high-chromium spring steel electrostatically powder-painted with authentic ULTEM™ brand PEI from Sabic and kiln-baked for long-lasting resilience. The double-sided textured surface leaves a clean, professional finish on the bottom of every print.

Designed for seamless compatibility with the Wham Bam Magnetic Base (sold separately), this spring steel sheet offers superior adhesion for popular filaments including PLA, TPU, PETG, and ABS. For more demanding technical filaments like Nylon, a standard purple glue stick or Magigoo can be applied for additional grip and easy water-cleanup.

Setup, Maintenance & Best Practices

Note: A magnetic base or build plate clips are required to secure the Flexi Plate to your heatbed.

Bed Leveling

After installing your new flex plate, re-run your printer's automatic bed leveling routine or manually level your bed to set the correct Z-offset for proper first-layer extrusion squish.

Routine Cleaning

Wipe down the textured build surface with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and a clean paper towel between prints. For stubborn purging lines, carefully use a scraper with rounded edges. Do not use acetone, as it will break down and permanently damage the PEI surface coating.

Restoring Surface Adhesion

If adhesion decreases over time due to skin oils or filament residues, wash the plate thoroughly with warm water and dish soap or white vinegar. To revitalize a heavily used plate, lightly scuff the surface with 600-grit wet/dry sandpaper, then clean with IPA.
