Note: Requires an existing magnetic base or bed clips installed on your printer to secure the Flexi Plate.
Preparation & Best Practices
Initial Surface Preparation: Before first use, scuff the PEX surface in circular motions for 4–5 minutes using 000 steel wool or a red Composite Abrasive Pad (7447) until you achieve a uniform satin matte finish. Clean thoroughly with >90% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and clean paper towels.
Print Temperature Guidelines: For the first 3 layers, set your hot end temperature toward the lower end of your filament's range to protect the PEX surface. Use a glue stick as a release layer for sticky filaments like PETG or ASA.
Part Removal: Always allow both the print bed and your model to cool completely before flexing the plate to release the print. Never flex while warm.
