Important Application & Structural Notes

Please Note: While Silk PLA yields magnificent aesthetic finishes, the additives that give it its signature high shine make it slightly more brittle than standard, unreinforced PLA. Because of this, it is highly recommended for decorative models, display pieces, and artwork. It is not recommended for mechanical structural prints or 3D-printed cookie cutters.

General Printing & Optimization Guidelines

• Nozzle/Extruder Temperature: 200°C – 225°C (Printing toward the higher end of this range often maximizes the signature metallic, silky surface gloss).
• Heated Bed Temperature: 50°C – 60°C
• Part Cooling Fan: ON / High Speed (Crucial for sharp detail resolution, clean overhang paths, and bridging stability).
