Deliver industrial-grade strength and a deep, professional aesthetic with Midnight Blue ABS.
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a high-performance thermoplastic prized for its exceptional structural integrity and mechanical resilience. Our Midnight Blue ABS is engineered for "wear and tear" projects, making it the definitive choice for functional prototypes and end-use parts that must endure high impact, friction, and thermal stress.
While more technical to print than PLA, our ABS formulation ensures a consistent, reliable experience. It molds smoothly when heated and sets evenly upon cooling, providing the heat resistance and rigidity required by professional engineers and advanced makers alike. Whether you are creating automotive components, custom tools, or rugged protective housings, Midnight Blue ABS offers the durability your most demanding applications require.
Key Features:
Exceptional Durability: High impact resistance and structural stiffness for parts that face heavy mechanical use.
Superior Heat Resistance: Maintains its shape and strength in high-temperature environments far better than standard filaments.
Industrial Versatility: Ideal for rapid prototyping, stress-testing, and creating functional moving assemblies.
Post-Processing Ready: Easily sanded, drilled, or vapor-smoothed with acetone for a professional, glass-like finish.
American Made: Proudly manufactured in Wisconsin, USA, under strict industrial quality control standards.
Technical Requirements:
For successful prints with ABS, we highly recommend the following setup:
Enclosure Required: An enclosed build chamber is necessary to maintain ambient heat and prevent warping or layer cracking (delamination).
Heated Bed: Essential for proper first-layer adhesion and to manage the material’s natural shrinkage during cooling.
Ventilation: Use in a well-ventilated area or with an air filtration system to manage fumes during the printing process.
Specifications:
Diameter: Available in 1.75mm and 2.85mm (±0.03mm tolerance).
Material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS).
Storage: Shipped vacuum-sealed with desiccant. Keep stored in a dry environment to maintain optimal print quality.
