This all-metal integration provides a highly rigid and reliable path for your filament while protecting the internal gears from dust, debris, and structural wear inside heated printer chambers. Combined with a powerful, custom-engineered 30mm Nema17 pancake stepper motor, the system delivers higher push-force, exceptional torque, and faster maximum feed rates compared to standard plastic-body extruders.

Advanced Pre-Tensioning & Multi-Tool Interfacing

Achieve highly repeatable print quality across a broad range of materials—including abrasive, rigid, semi-flexible, and soft filaments. The extruder is equipped with Bondtech's innovative pre-tension lever, featuring a fully open position and four calibrated pre-tension presets to dial in tension with mechanical precision. Its versatile multi-function interface socket allows for rapid tooling or application swaps, making it highly compatible with direct-drive configurations. It is natively ready to support longer industrial hotends by using the included aluminum direct-drive interface plug.

⚠️ Important Machine Configuration Guidelines:

• Filament Limitation: This specific extruder configuration strictly supports 1.75 mm size filaments.
• E-Steps Calibration: Ensure your firmware E-steps are set to 400 steps/mm for proper extrusion scaling.
• Current Limits: Use a maximum of 1A (RMS) of current to feed the stepper motor. Exceeding this rating can lead to excessive motor self-heating.
• Chamber Limits: When printing inside a heated enclosure, adjust stepper current to manage temperature limits: 95°C chamber at max 500mA, 90°C chamber at max 650mA, or 80°C chamber at max 1000mA.
• Mounting Notice: This direct extruder design does not allow for a mounting plate to be installed between the stepper motor and the extruder body.
