The LGX is engineered with a compact, lightweight body profile designed to sit seamlessly on both direct-drive and Bowden-style toolhead setups. It is equipped with a custom-engineered, slimline 25mm Nema17 pancake stepper motor to keep moving mass low—preventing print ghosting and ringing while maintaining high speed and precision during rapid axis accelerations.

Calibrated Pre-Tensioning System

Say goodbye to manual tension thumb-screws and guessing games. The LGX features a built-in, 5-position pre-tension lever. With one fully open setting (for easy filament loading and unloading) and four calibrated pressure presets, you can precisely repeat the exact tension needed for different material types—whether you are running rigid PLA, engineering-grade Nylon, or highly elastic TPU.

Multi-Platform Toolhead Interfacing

The LGX is highly modular, giving you maximum flexibility to customize your printing platform. The package comes with interchangeable interface plugs to support multiple configurations:

• Bowden Setup: Easily connect standard PTFE guide tubes using the included threaded Bowden Interface Plug with integrated metal push-fit connectors.
• Direct-Drive Setup: Mount your extruder directly above premium hotends (such as Slice Engineering’s Mosquito or Copperhead) utilizing the specialized Direct Drive Interface Plug and included 30mm PTFE guide tube.

⚠️ Important Machine Configuration Guidelines:

• Filament Limitation: This extruder strictly supports 1.75 mm size filaments. It is not compatible with 2.85mm setups.
• E-Steps Calibration: To ensure accurate extrusion volumes, update your printer's firmware to 400 steps/mm.
• Current Limits: Set your stepper driver's maximum output to 0.7A (RMS) or 1.0A (Peak) to prevent the custom 25mm motor from overheating during long prints.
