aeCoating™ NexABS-GF25 is an advanced ABS 3D printing filament engineered with an innovative co-extrusion skin-core structure and reinforced with 25% chopped glass fiber. Designed for demanding functional parts, this composite filament offers dramatically improved thermal stability, enhanced tensile strength, high impact resistance, and minimized warping compared to standard ABS.
The specialized aeCoating™ co-extrusion outer skin improves layer adhesion and surface finish while protecting the core structure, making it ideal for structural components, high-heat enclosures, tooling, and automotive prototypes.
Key Features
Co-Extrusion Skin-Core Technology: aeCoating™ skin design locks in performance, reduces stringing, and improves interlayer bonding.
25% Glass Fiber Reinforcement: High rigidity, exceptional dimensional accuracy, and zero warping for large-scale industrial prints.
High Temperature Resistance: Excellent thermal stability for parts exposed to hot mechanical environments.
Printing Requirements & Safety Guidelines
Hardened Nozzle Required: Due to the highly abrasive nature of glass fiber, standard brass nozzles will wear quickly. We strongly recommend printing with a hardened nozzle or a Tungsten Carbide Nozzle such as the Undertaker.
Enclosure & Ventilation Safety: Print in a fully enclosed 3D printer and well-ventilated space. ABS and composite fiber extrusion release harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs); appropriate filtration or exhaust systems should be used.
