3D-Fuel - Standard PLA+ 3D Printer Filament, Metallic Silver | 1.75mm, 1kg
Achieve a stunning, high-sheen finish on your 3D models without the hassle of specialized hardware. The 3D-Fuel Standard PLA+ Filament in Metallic Silver delivers a brilliant, highly reflective gray colorway designed to emulate genuine metal without incorporating any actual metal powders or harsh abrasives. Proudly manufactured in the United States, this basic, entry-level Polylactic Acid media provides predictable extrusion dynamics and robust material strength, making it an excellent baseline plastic for everyday desktop manufacturing workflows.
100% Virgin NatureWorks Ingeo Resin with Zero Fillers
Eliminate unpredictable clogs and inconsistent melting layers. Standard PLA+ is formulated exclusively using premium virgin NatureWorks Ingeo 4043d PLA resin. Because this material is blended entirely without cheap fillers or stretchers, it provides a remarkably uniform material density and a highly predictable printing experience. Note that because we prioritize pure resin over chemical additives, your ideal hotend operating temperature may run 5°C to 10°C higher than your current generic PLA settings.
Bambu Lab AMS Compatibility & Real-Time Laser Tolerances
Optimize your multi-color setups for seamless filament switching. Since October 2023, this line has been manufactured on Bambu Lab AMS-compliant spools, ensuring native hardware compatibility with modern automated material stations. (Please note: older warehouse stock may require leaving the AMS lid open a few millimeters). To prevent jamming, binding, or under-extrusion, 3D-Fuel utilizes a continuous multi-axis laser measurement system during factory production, monitoring diameter and ovality in real-time to preserve strict dimensional integrity throughout the full 1kg reel.
Flexible Thermal Profiles & Sweet Sugary Extrusion Smells
- Pleasant Working Environments: Print comfortably in classrooms, offices, and homes. This hard, durable plastic emits a barely noticeable but entirely pleasant, sweet, sugary aroma as it feeds through your hotend.
- Extensive Print Settings: Experience excellent adhesion on a diverse array of build surfaces—including Bambu High Temp/Cool/Textured PEI plates, bare glass, blue painters tape, and BuildTak—using a standard hotend temperature range of 190°C to 230°C and a bed temperature of 0°C to 60°C.
- High-Speed Print Capability: Natively supports standard print speeds ranging from 60 to 250 mm/s. Maker spaces can comfortably push past these baselines into high-speed printing zones simply by stepping up the hotend temperature.
