3D Fuel - Pro PCTG, Cobalt Blue, 1.75mm
3D Fuel - Pro PCTG, Cobalt Blue, 1.75mm
3D-Fuel Pro PCTG is a high-performance alternative to PETG, offering up to 30x the impact strength, superior chemical resistance, and enhanced optical clarity. Designed for reliability and ease of use, Pro PCTG features a lower moisture absorption rate and does not require an enclosure—simply use it with the same convenience as PETG.
With a broad color palette and excellent printability, it is an ideal choice for multi-color 3D printing systems like the Bambu Lab AMS.

Bambu AMS Compatibility
Since October 2023, 3D-Fuel spools have been manufactured to be AMS-compliant. During our warehouse inventory transition, you may receive an older spool style; these remain fully compatible with the AMS, though we recommend leaving the AMS lid slightly open (a few mm) during use. Pro PCTG: Superior Impact Toughness
Pro PCTG is 20-50% more impact-resistant than standard PETG. Its molecular structure utilizes cyclohexane dimethanol (CHDM), providing increased flexibility and ductility. This allows parts to absorb and dissipate energy during impact rather than cracking or shattering.
- Drop Resistance: Ideal for protective housings, wearable devices, and tool enclosures.
- Repeated Stress: High endurance for clips, snap-fits, and living hinges.
- Extreme Conditions: Resists embrittlement in low temperatures where PETG may fail.
- Inter-layer Bonding: Superior adhesion reduces structural weak points.
Example Use Cases
- Protective housings for electronics or tools.
- Drone parts and propeller guards.
- Flexible clips, snap-fits, and living hinges.
Chemical Resistance Comparison
| Chemical Type | Examples | CRR Rating |
|---|---|---|
| Alcohols | IPA, Ethanol, Methanol | 1.8 |
| Hydrocarbons | Gasoline, Mineral Spirits, Hexane | 2.0 |
| Cleaning Agents | Bleach, Degreasers, Detergents | 1.5 |
| Oils & Lubricants | Engine Oils, Hydraulic Fluids | 1.6 |
| Acids/Bases | Acetic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide | 1.4 / 1.3 |
Low Moisture Absorption & Easy Handling
Pro PCTG is significantly less hygroscopic than PETG, absorbing only 0.1–0.2% moisture by weight (compared to 0.3% in PETG). This results in fewer print defects like stringing or bubbling and requires less frequent drying cycles.
- Stability: Maintains mechanical properties longer in high-humidity environments.
- Drying: For optimal results, dry at 60-70°C for 4-8 hours.
